One of Malta’s oldest restaurants Malata serves the best French and Mediterranean cuisine on the island. Traditional French dishes such as Chateaubriand, Tournedos Rossini and frog legs and local dishes such as rabbit cooked in white wine and garlic or octopus salad retain their position in the menu whilst chef’s innovative specialties change every 3 months The stone walls of this basement restaurant are hung with memorabilia and are lit with candles at night, providing a warm and romantic atmosphere.

Alfresco dining is available throughout the year (weather permitting) on the tree-shaded terrace opposite the majestic Grand Masters Palace, where on Tuesdays and Fridays, some of Malta’s best jazz bands play. A unique dining experience in a historic setting with parking right outside!
Large groups can be catered for with set menus to suit all budgets.

Outside catering is also provided for dinner parties, cocktail parties and functions.
